I’ve worked for a number of architecture and design firms from small boutique firms making public art and designing high end homes, to large integrated firms where I’ve worked alongside engineers and project managers. I’ve worked downtown renovating condos, in exclusive neighbourhoods renovating heritage homes, and in the middle of nowhere a plane, van, and boat ride from home where exactly the right materials had to be barged in and if we forgot a tool we had to make it ourselves.
These days I live in a little cabin on a small island. I build things in the yard, renovate my own home, spend a lot of time outside with my wonderful family, and occasionally sneak out late at night to stand under the stars.
I’ve worked a number of different construction jobs and have a university degree in painting drawing and steel sculpture. I’ve always wanted to be an Architect. There’s a special kind of magic in sharing in someone’s dream, being able to draw and model it watching it take form, and to be able to bring it to life.
I’m currently only taking on interesting projects for good people. I’m intrigued by residential renovations and rehabilitation projects. I’m inspired by the landscape out here on the fringes of the west coast. I’m excited about doing more with less, about repurposing spaces and materials, and by economy in its many various guises.
If you have an idea that you think could be a project let me know about it, I’d love to hear from you.
